Born on the 2nd July 1984 in Dube Soweto, Mo Flava embarked on a media studies diploma at Boston Media House, majoring in Radio Broadcasting and Programming as well as Journalism. He is focused and ambitious, driven by an intense interest and passion for the media at large. Mo’s interest in radio stems from the medium’s ability to relate to different people in a very personal and interactive manner.
He currently hosts the BREAKFAST DRIVE TIME show on METRO FM from
5am – 9am, called the THE MORNING FLAVA
MOFLAVA has released a number of electrifying house music compilations and singles, and
has 11 years of experience in club DJing.
He has played at massive festivals and night clubs around the country, and has released hit
singles like Abataka, Mfanomuntu, Dear Stranger, Pretty Lady (with Moonchild Sanelly) and
his latest collaboration with Busi N, “Just Dance”.
Mo has played at the Miami Music Conference for two years and at Ibiza’s Ocean Beach
Club. Locally, he has his own stage at the dance music festival, Spring Fiesta and hosts 3
major events of his own: “Play Your Heart Out”, “Born in July” and “New Year’s Experience”
which attract capacity crowds.
Boston Media House Bursary Giveaway
In partnership with Boston Media House, MoFlava runs a campaign which see’s him giving
away 20 bursaries to students from all over thecountry who want to study media.
Interviews are run for over a month and the best candidates are selected my Mo himself.
Play Your Heart Out
Another one of Mo Flava’s big passions is soccer. Play Your Heart Out is an annual 5-a-side
soccer tournament, hosted by the DJ, which raises money and items for a selected charity.
